As many of you know, my family and I have been affected by the Black Dog that entered our lives in the form of PTSD & anxiety disorder 2 years ago...In reality, I had been battling alot longer than that and almost destroyed my marriage and life. However, we are fortunate because although this is still a daily challenge, I have access to health professionals, medication and support that many don't. It is usually a combination of stigma and people not knowing where to turn to for help, that affects the outcome of this destructive disease. And I get that, because raising my hand and asking for help cost me a career I loved and my families livelihood....
On Sunday 24th March 2013, I will be riding with mates for this cause. It is my newfound love of biking, and the understanding of family and these mates that has helped me through some very dark days. Sadly this disease will continue to affect people we all love, until such times as we work out how to prevent it! I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising appeal for charity. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page above or comment below so more people know about it.
Click 'Donate Now' to make a secure online donation.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a DGR receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.
Thanks so much for your support!
Please stay safe and be kind you each other and yourselves.
